Practical-based skills learned "on the job" as part of the Caterham Sevens for Schools scheme.
Every year, around ten Year 13 pupils are invited to build a Caterham 7, from scratch, in the RGS garage.
Led by Mrs Bennett and Mr Ashcroft, these sessions run on Wednesday afternoons from mid-September until May.
The scheme is sponsor-led and we are very grateful for our sponsors to allow these boys to learn how to build a kit car, with a smattering of finance, marketing, corporate liaison and hospitality along the way!
The project began in 2011 with a small group of pupils building a Classic model. 2012's group upscaled their sights, building a Roadsport model.
The 2015-16 group will be building another Roadsport kit provided by the company as part of their new Sevens for Schools guidelines.
