School Trips & World Challenge
RGS boys are encouraged to participate in trips throughout their time at the school. Some of these trips are an important part of academic courses and occur during term time, but many are optional trips during the school holidays. It is our belief that each trip provides a valuable experience that will help boys develop essential skills; confidence, empathy, self-sufficiency, patience, to name but a few.
Financial support, particularly for trips considered to be an essential part of the normal curriculum, may be available. Enquiries, which will be handled in the strictest confidence, should be directed to the Trip Leader.
Please note, where the School is required to make non-refundable payments to a trip provider, we would not be able to make any refunds should you withdraw your son from a trip.
Many trips are run internally by RGS staff. We also have a strong link with World Challenge and many other highly reputable providers who offer a great level of knowledge and expertise.
World Challenge design and deliver outdoor eductional programmes for school groups. These range from one week to four week expeditions across the world.
We wish all the boys good luck on their various fundraising targets each year. There is a vast range of activities planned each year, including:
- Bag packing at the various super markets,
- car washing,
- cake sales,
- odd jobs
- and lots more.
If you wish to know any further information about any of the World Challenge Expeditions, please contact Clive Greenhough at the school via email or contact the school office.
