Peer Review for Boarding
As part of drive to ensure that we offer the very best for our boarders in Fraser Youens House we work closely with other boarding schools. Oftsed Inspections are normally three years apart and therefore we felt that that it would be good to have a peer review from another school. As close neighbours and State Boarding Schools with a similar constituency, Reading School and RGS High Wycombe have worked together since 2012 to review best practice, explore areas for improvement, offer quality assurance and staff development through mutual observation. We have also visited several other state and independent boarding schools to look at best practice and try to incorporate this into our boarding offer. We asked Reading School to produce a report based on the National Minimum Standards for Boarding and an Ofsted style report. We did a similar report for Reading several years ago.
