All parts of the boarding facility, including the grounds, are out of bounds to day boarders and visitors unless the member of staff on duty gives specific permission. The following areas are out of bounds to boarders unless a member of staff gives permission: • the Housemasters’ private rooms • the kitchen and domestic offices • the swimming pool • the School buildings • the area around the back of the cricket pavilion AWARENESS OF VISITORS ON SITE Please be aware that there could be visitors on the School site both throughout the day and at weekends. If you are unsure of who someone is or see anyone acting suspiciously please report this immediately to the duty member of staff. DO NOT APPROACH THEM DIRECTLY. Please ensure all visitors that you invite into the boarding house are signed in ‘The Visitors Book’ and countersigned by a member of staff. OUT OF BOUNDS VALUABLES GUIDANCE The School accepts no responsibility and has no insurance policy for loss of property from the boarding house. You are strongly advised to keep your valuables locked in your cupboard at all times or give them to a Housemaster for safe keeping. Whilst the use of mobile phones is allowed in Fraser Youens boarders must be aware of the School policy on mobile phones. It is totally forbidden for a student to record any video or photographic images (involving students within the boarding house) on the internet without the express permission of the Director of Boarding. Mobile telephones are allowed but boarders are expected to use their phones sensibly. Phones should not be used after lights out and before breakfast. Students who have mobiles with internet access or camera/video functions must realise that any behaviour deemed unacceptable by the duty member of staff will result in their phone being confiscated. 4)Valuables 12/13 MOBILE PHONES
