Page | 10 for the time he ends his school career and moves on to the world beyond RGS. Throughout his time in the Sixth Form your son will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events and activities. These include an induction programme to start working on A Level study skills and a Freshers' Fayre to allow your son the chance to choose from a range of volunteering and co- curricular activities. There will also be a Year 12 Team building day, some social events and joint ventures with other schools. In Year 13 there is a lecture series when we invite guest speakers in to talk to our students on a range of issues such as e-Safety, driving safely, student finance, interview techniques, a certificated First Aid course, the law in society and communications and leadership courses. There are also a series of events towards the end of your son's time with us including some Leavers' events. As your son progresses through his two years in the Sixth Form we are sure you will agree that all these events will help to make your son's time in the Sixth Form at RGS memorable, worthwhile and help develop his 360 profile. These events would not be possible without some financial support from parents. In order to cover the costs of these events we ask for a one-off subscription of £50 for the entirety of the two years that your son is with us in the Sixth Form. This subscription supports the events mentioned above among others and will also include a starter pack including a Sixth Form tie. There is therefore no need for you to purchase a Sixth Form tie before September as your son will be given one on th e 3rd September. The subscription allows us greater flexibility to be able to offer an attractive package of events and opportunities for your son throughout his time in the Sixth Form. If you could make this contribution, we would be extremely grateful. A Parent Pay account has been set up for your contributions to be made and we would be grateful if you could make your payment by Friday 30th July 2021. In the event that your son does not take up his place in the Sixth Form at RGS the subscription will be refunded in full to you.
