Now we're in our penultimate term at RGS, we thought we'd let you know about the Leavers' events and items that the Senior Prefects and Sixth Form Team are working on, so you can say your final goodbyes to RGS.
We are in the process of organising the Leavers' Yearbook and Kit and have 2 great Leavers' events we are planning: the Year 13 Leavers' Day and Ball (in May and June respectively).
This newsletter will give you an idea of our plans and we'll also be sending some specific letters in the next week or so, telling you how to book Leavers' Kit, Yearbook and Leavers' Ball tickets. So please watch out for those comms or read Form Notices / Teams, (there's a first time for everything!!!!)
The first thing we need you to do is help us get the Yearbook ready for printing. Please see below as we want as many student profiles in the Yearbook as possible.

Leavers' Yearbook 2024
The Senior Prefects have started to prepare the Leavers' Yearbook and have uploaded your Year 7 RGS photo to your profile. A separate letter will be sent to parents with a price and link to ParentPay to order one but in the meantime, please can you do the following steps by 8th February or sooner so we can send the Yearbook off to the printers for proofing:
Please add two appropriate photographs of yourself into slot 1 and 3 of your profile. If you were at RGS in Y7 you will have your Y7 portrait already added. If you joined RGS after Y7, please try to add a third photo of yourself when you were in Year 7
Please fill in the responses to the questions of the yearbook (for example, favourite memory of RGS?)
Please send any photos you have of school trips, rugby tour, sports and music events, DofE, group pictures etc. to Alex Egan (17aegan@rgshw.com) or Asad Tariq (17atariq@rgshw.com).

Leavers Kit 2024
The Senior Prefect Team are also liaising with suppliers re the design and choice of this year's Leavers' Kit. We are aiming to have the designs and pricing ready to send out to Year 13 at the end of this week and would like to have orders in before Half Term please.
The kit will include: a Leavers' Hoodie, Midlayer, Casual Joggers, Nike Tee, Quarter Zip and Retro Rugby Jersey. The last 2 items will have a minimum order quantity in order to proceed with the order. Both the Yearbook and Kit will be distributed to Year 13s in the first or second week back after Easter as some of the items have a 6 or 8 week order process.
In the meantime, you can order a number of lovely RGS Memorabilia items via the School Shop on the RGS website. The OW tie and RGS cufflinks are usually very popular items.

Get ready to run, bounce and slide your way around the 8 inflatables that we provide for the Year 13 Leavers' Day, to be held on Friday 10th May. There'll be a breakfast bap, BBQ, ice-cream van, awards and speeches to send you off on your exam leave. More details will follow.
Leavers Ball - Saturday 22 June 2024
This year, the LeaversBall will be held after the last A Level exam on Saturday 22nd June at Moor Hall in Cookham.
The Prefects are preparing a poster with more details but your ticket will include: a welcome drink, 2 course hot meal, DJ and access to all photos taken by the photographer on the night.
As the venue capacity is slightly smaller this year, we will make tickets available to RGS students only for a period of time prior to opening up ticket sales to external guests.
