YEAR 13 LEAVERS’ YEARBOOK – WHAT IS IT?

The Year 13 Senior Prefects have nearly completed the 2024 Leavers’ Yearbook. This a lovely memento of your time at RGS which includes lots of group photos, memories and some fun awards that you have voted for.

The Yearbook is a hard-back, leather-bound publication which serves as a long-lasting memory of your time at RGS

and it always proves to be very popular. This year, the Yearbook will cost £27 and will be available for collection before the Year 13 Leavers’ Day.

STUDENTS – PLEASE ACTION:

In the meantime, we require profile information from the students. One aspect of the Yearbook will include your Year 7 RGS photo, alongside a more current picture of yourself, and a few sentences from you about your time at RGS. This is known as your Yearbook profile and needs to be completed by the 21^st February. Ideally, we would like a profile for every student in Year 13. However, if for any reason, you do not want to be part of this publication, please do let us know as soon as possible so that we can adjust the template for publication.

The following link www.allyearbooks.co.uk, and invitation code ‘thrust7842’ will enable you to complete your Yearbook Profile. Once all the Yearbook Profiles have been completed, we can begin the voting for student awards.

Many thanks for your support and please ensure that your yearbook profile is completed by 21^st February 2024.

PARENTS/STUDENTS - PAYMENT:

If you would like to order the 2024 Leavers’ Yearbook, please log on to Parentpay. https://www.parentpay.com/public/client/security/#/login and place your order by the end of 26^th February.

The final order to the printers will be made on 26^th February so we will be unable to accept any additional orders after this date.

Leavers' Kit Orders

Important Parent Pay Information:

• Order deadline is Monday 19th February

Parent Pay         

Having consulted the year group, we have settled on a number of kit options that will be available for purchase as these items proved to be the most popular and feasible options available through our suppliers. We have several deadlines that need to be met in the coming weeks so that we can take delivery and distribute the kit before students depart for the summer. As some items can take up to 8 weeks to process, the order deadline is Monday 19th February.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to process any orders received after the deadline.

All pupils wishing to buy any number of items of Leavers’ kit should fill in their order details online via Parent Pay, including size and in some cases colour choice or optional initials which should be entered in the ‘Notes’ box on parent pay. 

Please make sure you pay the correct amount and enter your personalisation choices on Parent Pay.

• Some products such as the Retro Rugby Jersey have a minimum order quantity, if we do not meet this minimum order quantity, the money paid for these garments will be refunded.

The online payment system is now open. Only a single order will be put through for the kit to our supplier and therefore it is vital that all payments are put through to Parent Pay by Monday 20th February. If payments have not been submitted by this date, there will be no further opportunity to purchase kit.  

Please note: Kit initials are an optional choice and will cost an additional £2.50 for the Nike Tee and £1.50 per garment for either the Casual Joggers, Midlayer or Hoodie (Price is per garment NOT per initial). The limit to the number of initials is 3 letters. If initials are not paid for, the order will go through for the garment without personalisation. Please use the table below to help calculate how much you order will cost.

Leavers' Day - Friday 10 May 2024

Get ready to run, bounce and slide your way around the 8 inflatables that we provide for the Year 13 Leavers' Day, to be held on Friday 10th May. There'll be a breakfast bap, BBQ, ice-cream van, awards and speeches to send you off on your exam leave.  More details nearer the time.

The Senior Prefect Team are delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for the Year 13 Leavers’ Ball to be held on 22 June 2024. Please find below details of the evening and how you can buy a ticket. 

Please note that as the capacity of the venue is slightly smaller this year, we are initially opening ticket sales to RGS students only. RGS students may purchase 1 ticket for themselves from today until the 19 February, when ticket sales will be open to guests of RGS students.

Venue: Moor Hall, Institute of Marketing, Cookham SL6 9QH

Date: Saturday 22 June 2024

Tickets: available on RGS Little Box Office until Friday 1st March or until tickets sell out.

Cost: £55 per person

One guest ticket allowed per RGS student at a cost of £55, guest tickets opening on Mon 19th February.

• Professional DJ and Photographer

Timings

• 18:30 Arrival Drinks and Photographs
• 12:00 DJ Set & dancing ends and venue closes

Dress code - Black Tie

Alcohol – Over 18s require Photo ID with DOB to purchase alcohol - please ensure you bring this on the night

Please note that Ball security reserve the right to refuse access to the Ball if guests attempt to bring any alcohol or illegal substances into the venue or will require a guest to leave if their behaviour risks bringing RGS into disrepute.

Please note that photos taken by the official Ball photographer will be distributed to all guests after the Ball.
