We have heard from the Education Safeguarding Advisory Service at County Hall of a stranger recently approaching a secondary school student on their way to school not far from RGS this week.
The incident was concerning and has been reported to the police. Please could you remind your son of the safety actions he should take if approached by a stranger.
We have recently covered this topic with our Year 7 and 8 students in form period. Please also stress to your son if he has any such concerns he should contact the school and / or the Police as well as telling you, his parent/s.
With the colder weather and continued need for ventilation please ensure your son is well wrapped up for school. They may wear warm hats, but as with the coats, can they please be of a sombre colour.
