Memorable moments from Silverstone

As Silverstone prepares to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1’s very first race next year, we took a look behind the scenes.

Earlier this week, our students had an unforgettable experience at the inaugural Careers Showcase event at the iconic Silverstone Museum. The day was packed with exciting opportunities to dive deep into the world of motor sport and uncover the hidden careers behind the Formula 1 industry.

Beyond the glamour of racing, students were amazed to discover roles they’d never imagined. For example, supply chain experts who fine-tune the rubber composition of tyres for peak performance, and logistics masterminds who ensure every piece of equipment reaches the track on time. They even got a glimpse into the high-pressure world of confidentiality, where even the smallest detail could make or break a race. With a thrilling panel discussion, hands-on exhibitor stands, and the chance to explore cutting-edge museum displays, the event was a true eye-opener into the incredible, fast-paced world of F1 careers.
