Classical Civilisation

I’ve always liked learning about history, mainly because of its significance in shaping our world today. Just thinking that nearly all current national and international events can be explained by the past hundred years is, for me at least, very exciting. And for that reason, I really like the new perspective that ancient history (taught as ‘Classics’ at GCSE) gives me. Learning about ancient civilisation and culture, in addition to modern history, is like learning about two sides of the same coin, as they’re both interconnected in an incredibly complex and fascinating way.”
