You may find a book in the Library that has a distinctive book plate commemorating the life of Matthew Bennett who attended the school from 1994 to 2000.

Sadly, Matthew died in 2005 and his family kindly donated funds to buy a collection of books that Matthew enjoyed reading. This collection is to honour his memory and encourage future RGS students to share his love of literature.

His family and friends whom he had known from school and university, helped curate the titles for students to enjoy from Matthew's favourite genres. We are thrilled to add titles from authors from all over the world - Korean, Japan, Italy and America as well as closer to home with Scottish and UK based authors. A wide range of genres covered from sci-fi and cli-fi (climate change fiction), dystopian and modern classics in both print and graphic novel format.

There is truly something for everyone to read and enjoy.
