It is that time of year. The greatest time. The best time. Best sporting moments, musical performances, chemists, mathematicians, artists and academics. Best. Best!

When it comes to our Leavers, best, is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate all which they have achieved, and everything in between.

Let’s just establish some ground rules with a definition: In The Oxford Dictionary best is, “of the most excellent or desirable type or quality”. So, first, it should be said that this leaves some room for interpretation. Second, that some would argue that, like exams and a mullet haircut, best is in the eye of the beholder.

When it comes to the Academic Journal, it truly shows off some of the best our Sixth Formers have to offer, and it is their hope it can provide something for our younger students to aspire to.
