RGS boys have today received their A Level grades, both those awarded by the examination boards and those submitted by their teachers.  Had this been a normal year, we would have been very pleased indeed with the overall A*-B figure, the highest for some years.  

Results days should always be, however, about individual students rather than statistical exercises and we congratulate the success of our boys on their magnificent achievements. 

The Headmaster, Philip Wayne, said  ‘Our Upper Sixth students have missed out on several rites of passage, including the sitting of public examinations to validate the fruits of their labours over the years.  We’re here to support them every step of the way as they progress to the next stage of their lives which is, in most cases, university.  I am immensely proud of the boys in this exceptional year group not only for their academic achievements but for their demonstration of sterling humanity, tenacity and willingness to excel in every aspect of school life. These qualities will stand them in very good stead for the future.'
