Admissions Policies for Entry in September 2025
Please note that our Sixth Form (day school only) becomes Co-Educational with effect from September 2025.
There are some priority areas within our existing catchment area. Priority B areas are where students have a choice of more than two grammar schools and are in reasonable walking distance to other grammar schools.
Following an adjudicator review, Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools were asked, if they had not already done so, to add the link to Buckinghamshire Council's information about Selection Review Panels. This can be found in Section 3.0 (Day Places) and 4.0 (Boarding Places).
- Admissions Policy for Day Entry 2025 entry can be found here.
- Admissions Policy for Boarding Entry 2025 entry can be found here.
The Boarding Registration Form is for Year 7 only. Information about weekly boarding under the Late Transfer Procedure and Full Boarding (Year 9 and above) is available from the School.
Parents who wish to apply for a boarding place in Years 8-10, should complete the Late Transfer form when the annual testing round is open and indicate whether they would prefer a boarding place. Please note that it is very rare to have space in boarding between Year 7 entry and the Sixth Form.
RGS High Wycombe School Catchment Area
This checker shows you how far each school is away from your home measured in a straight line and whether your home is within the school's catchment area: Buckinghamshire Schools Postcode Checker.
For September 2025 admissions, the Royal Grammar School will have a priority area within the catchment. This can be seen in the Catchment Area Map and the Priority Area Catchment Checker on the Buckinghamshire Council website will be updated in August to include RGS.
