Here at RGS, we pride ourselves on our academic excellence and allocate each sixth former to a personal tutor who will support and mentor them to help them achieve their full potential. Over the last seven years, our sixth form boarders have significantly outperformed their day school counterparts with recent cohorts achieving over 97% at A*-B grades at A-Level. We do everything we can to assist our students with their university applications, including having recent ‘Old Boys’ back to talk about their experiences, and we’re proud to say that many of our boarders go on to study at the very top universities in the UK and abroad.

In addition to their academic pursuits, many of our Sixth Form boarders are heavily involved within the school community - taking prominent roles within the sports and arts departments. Some of our students also belong to the Combined Cadet Forces (CCF).

All of our Sixth Form boarders benefit from the luxury of single en-suite accommodation with access to a wired internet connection, designated kitchen area and common room facilities. Most of our sixth formers come equipped with their own laptops or desktop computers, but there is also access available to ICT facilities, printers, scanners and photocopiers within the house if required.

The welfare of our students always of paramount importance to us and we strive to ensure that our Sixth Form boarders leave RGS as happy, content and well-rounded young men, fully prepared for their next steps into the world.
